The Fiesta that is IIFA Colombo ended with the Awards Nite that saw some humourous leg-pulling by stars, some sizzling performances, some emotional moments and plenty of proud winners.
Obviously the most powerful performer of the nite was Salman Khan. He made a grand entry and danced his way to win the 12000 hearts at the Indoor Stadium by his high-voltage dancing. No doubt Sallu bhai is known as the most ‘Wanted’ star and the most ‘Dabang’ performer. Salman Khan was joined in by Govinda and Anil Kapoor to bring the house down. Our man also took home the IIFA 2010 Humanitarian Award. Kudos Salman!
The IIFA 2010 culminated with some awesome performances. But hey the most sizzling of them all was that by Bong Beauty – Bipasha. She made her entry sitting on a bike, John’s favourite toy after her. Bips high voltage act was simply mesmerizing. Oh yes, you also get to look at the new lean and mean Bipasha and her toned body.
IIFA AWards night is now just about who won and who didn’t, it’s also about some great live acts and one such performer was Boman Irani. Not only did he keep everybody in splits by his wry humour, he sang his way to our hearts.
Then there was Viveik Oberoi, the most popular Bollywood star in Lanka who gave a power-packed performance and also took home the IIFA Award for Most Eco-Friendly Star. Viveik makes it a point to celebrate his birthday every year with orphan children and also plants trees on his special day.
Kareena Kapoor’s peformance was the icing on the cake on the final night. How can I forget the opening act by Jacqueline Fernandez? She is fab dancer and performed a classical Sri Lankan dance form. Jacqueline also took home the Best Female Debut Award with Mahi Gill for Alladin
